At POCAM, we are committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of persons with disabilities (PWDs) through a range of targeted support services.

 

Our core initiatives include:

• Provision of mobility aids – Supplying essential equipment such as wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs, crutches, and canes to improve mobility and quality of life.

• Support for spinal cord injury care – Distributing necessary medical supplies including colostomy bags, urinary catheters, and disposable diapers.

• Access to dialysis treatment – Assisting members who require ongoing dialysis by helping them receive the care they need.

• Financial assistance for accessible housing – Offering subsidies for home repairs and the development of disability-friendly facilities such as hand-accessible toilets.

• Education sponsorships – Covering registration fees for members enrolling in institutions of higher learning to promote academic and personal advancement.

Through these services, POCAM continues to advocate for equal opportunities and improved living conditions for the PWD community.

FUNDING

Securing adequate funding is essential for our society to fulfill our responsibilities effectively. With an annual budget of at least RM 250,000 we can sustain our operations and continue providing essential services as well as to support orthopaedically handicapped individuals across Malaysia.
